Bathing your parrot

Your parrot can bath daily, but needs to bath at least once a week.

You could spray it with a spray bottle, which has a fine spray nozzle.

It is also good to encourage you parrot to bath in a bowl of water occasionally. You can do this by gently splashing with your hand in the water, while you spray your parrot or just after you sprayed it with the bottle. In nature they hang in the rain and often bath in puddles of water after a downpour.

You could even teach you parrot to shower with you! Specially the Amazons love to shower with their owners.

Whichever way you choose, you need to teach your parrot to bath from a young age, otherwise it might not like to be bathed. You can start as soon as it has all its feathers.
